Secure Digital (SD) is a non-volatile memory card that is extensively used in portable devices including mobile phones, digital cameras, GPS navigation devices and tablet computers. Secure Digital standard was introduced in 1999 as an upgraded version over MultiMediaCards (MMC). The Secure Digital standard is maintained by the SD Association (SDA).
The Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) format was announced in January 2006 and defined in Version 2.0 of the SD specification, supports cards with capacities up to 32 GB. These cards are physically and electrically identical to standard-capacity SD cards (SDSC). At Upgrade Nation, we offer Secure Digital and SDHC cards at an affordable price.
